I hate lemons. I really do. They’re gross. They’re too sour and even if you squeeze them and add a bunch of sugar and water, they taste like lemons. But lemons exist. They’re in our lives. They’re in our grocery stores. Though I may not buy them much or use them when I cook, others do. That quote about when life gives you lemon, make lemonade is actually quite true. You’ve got to do something with them if they’re in your fridge. If you ignore them, they rot and then you have other problems to deal with. If you at least make the lemonade with some extra sugar and water, you can sip it down and then share the rest with your friends, the people that actually like lemons. Lemons exist. It’s up to us what we do with them.
