There’s a part of Romeo and Juliet when Romeo is talking to his cousin Benvolio about how he loves Rosaline, but that it’s not going to work because she doesn’t put out. She’s wasting her beauty and her ability to have babies on her life-long chastity (apparently to become a nun). So to my freshmen students I explained, “So since she’s chaste, she can’t have babies, right?” Blank stares. “How are babies made? Anyone?” Blank stares. Then I referenced this commercial before suggesting that a few of them pay more attention in health class to get some answers.
