Google and Kazoos

photo-245I love Google for one, very important reason. Google taught me how to play the kazoo the other day.

What?

It’s true.

But Sharece, you’re 30. How did it take you this long to learn how to play the kazoo?

I have no idea. I never learned because perhaps I was too afraid to ask how to make the noise come out. Or maybe I always went for the harmonica that all you had to do was blow on and it made a sound.

Kazoo playing isn’t always quite so easy, you know. You can’t just blow on the end of it. You have to speak into it. Trust me, I tried to just breathe into it when I first picked it off the table and it didn’t work. It was after I found the info online that I learned how I had to speak into the kazoo to make beautiful music.

Screen Shot 2013-09-19 at 8.06.57 PMAm I ashamed of the fact that I didn’t know how to play a kazoo until the ripe age of 30? Hell no. I’m proud of myself for learning. It shows that no matter how old I get, I will always be able to learn something new and powerful.

Tata for now.
